South East Cheshire Cat Sitter Reviews

Why your cats will absolutely love our service!

We all know it can be unsettling for us humans to find ourselves in a strange environment surrounded by unfamiliar people.  For cats and kittens, that feeling of anxiousness is amplified many times, as they are so very sensitive to sounds and smells which cause them high levels of stress and anxiety.

Our very convenient service means that your cherished cats and kittens can stay in their own familiar home environment and routine, giving them the security and comfort they rightly deserve and ensuring their happiness whilst you are away.  Whether it’s a long-awaited holiday, regular business trips, or perhaps even a stay in hospital, you can rest assured that your cat is receiving the best care and attention at home.  Bookings can be for any period from one day upwards.

The health and welfare of cats in our care is always our primary concern.  By choosing us, you will enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that your cats will be looked after as if they were our own.  Depending on their age and preferences, this could be laptime or playtime, or simply just spending some time in their company to ensure they are relaxed and content.  We will arrange to meet you before you go so that you can introduce us to your cat, run through their routines, their favourite toys and their hiding places, and also collect a key, etc.

When you’re away, we will:

  • Give medication as required, including insulin injections (Louis our cat was diabetic for five years and required twice daily insulin injections).
  • Put down fresh food and water in clean bowls.
  • Clean out and replenish litter trays.
  • Collect post, put bins in/out, water plants and keep a general eye on your house and garden.
  • Message you to let you know all is well.
  • Most importantly, spend time with your feline family members!

Whilst you’re away, if you wish to extend your break then all you need to do is simply text or email and we will be happy to make more visits.  (Additional visits can be paid for after your return).

About us

We live in Haslington in Cheshire and we have shared our lives with cats for as long as we can remember.

Our feline family includes Maisie, a senior kitizen rescued from Cyprus many years ago, Gail and her son Josh (adopted from Cats Protection), and the most recent addition Arnie (adopted from Sandbach Animal Rescue).

Catherine worked for the National Trust for fourteen years, working at many fabulous places across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.  But her role as Project Manager meant long drives across the country and being away from home every week.  Martin took medical retirement in 2015 and after several successful joint replacement operations, wanted to find a job which included meeting people and getting out and about.  We realised that we needed a change in direction so we could work together and pursue our passion of working with animals.

Over recent years we have ourselves experienced the convenience and benefits of the Home Loving Cats cat sitting service for our own cats who were cared for by Paul and Yolanda, and so it felt very “right” and appropriate for us to join Home Loving Cats ourselves taking over Paul and Yolanda's business in 2017.

We are trustworthy, mature and reliable people of impeccable character who will treat your home with care and upmost professionalism.  We both hold a basic disclosure (police check) and public liability insurance.
